Why did you start a career in education?
"Oh, why did you start a career in education? It's to make a difference and through that to impact generations."
If you could have any other job what would it be and why?
"if you could have any other job, what would it be and why? I would consider being an office manager. I'm good at organizing."
How are kids different now than 30 years ago?
"How are kids different now than 30 years ago? Kids want to learn and everything with that is still devices and kids have to deal with peer pressure, especially with social media."
How is teaching different now than 30 years ago?
"How is teaching different now more than 30 years ago? Technology's a vital part of teaching now more than ever before and so using digital tools makes it a whole lot difference how the kids to learn."
What would you tell someone who wants to become a teacher?
"What would you tell someone right now that is thinking about becoming a teacher? Um, there's lots of intrinsic rewards more than extrinsic. Is it your calling? Are you committed? Um, you may not see the results immediately, but be compassionate, considerate and never give up. And our theme now is be a hope dealer."
What is one thing you would change to help kids learn better?
"And what is one thing you would change to help kids learn better is to build effective relationships. And I think when relationships are built, it's easy for the kids to do their best with a teacher whom they really like."
