We are a very rural school with a lot of diversification. Our location keeps us small, but we have easy access to all the arts & culture in NWA. New students like our school size and beautiful scenery. The unique valley that our school overlooks gives off feelings of serenity and peacefulness. This alone sets us apart from other schools with their busy streets and noisy urban or city life. Being in the country has a positive effect on adults and children. Our classroom windows and doors can remain open allowing nature to be all around our students. It is like a pressure reliever for students to come to school instead of a stress increase. We work with our community and our community works with and supports us. Our students feel safe and secure here at our school.
We have the ability to have a one on one relationship with all our students. This school is like a family. Parents have found that this little school was a great place for them to learn and progress when they were young and want that same environment for their children. Amazingly, many of the students are distant family related. All teachers’ and staff have a desire that all our students succeed even long after high school stops. They understand the technological changes and challenges our students will face. Small classrooms help the teacher to be more effective and have a one on one relationship with each student. Students have up-to-date technology and a one to one with chromebooks. Many of our students have moms or dads and family members who have graduated from Kingston School and they understand the need for our students to have all the necessary learning skills and devices to achieve a quality education. Our community has worked hard to see that all students have a working Wi-Fi network at home so even during these times of uncertainty students can contact teachers and continue with their educational advancements.
Do not cut us short, our sporting teams, educational teams, and livestock teams are very competitive. Our students are not afraid to step out of their rural environment and compete with the larger schools. We have three very strong CTE programs. Our Athletic Program competes throughout the state with several of our students regularly going on to play on the college levels. Many of our students have gone on to run their own businesses. Others have furthered their education to become professionals in many of the upper level jobs while others leave Kingston with the skills needed to fulfill today's blue collar workforce. We do teach a well-rounded education at Kingston which adds to our diversification as a school. Our students' education is our number one priority with security and peace of mind second to none.
