Located in eastern Iowa, Clinton was established in 1837 and named in honor of the seventh Governor of New York State, DeWitt Clinton. The Courthouse, located in Clinton, was completed in 1897 and is currently in use today. The County is home to 14 communities and 46,460 residents.
