Franklin County was established January 30, 1913. Located in southeastern Idaho, it is an ideal place for diversified agricultural and livestock raising. It is home of That Famous Preston Night Rodeo and several historical places which include the Bear River Massacre Site, Relic Hall, Hatch and Mathias Cowley houses, and the Oneida Stake Academy.
Enjoy Franklin County all year long! In the early spring, through summer, you can ride your four-wheeler and ATV on trails that stretch from our valley into Bear Lake and beyond. We have several lakes within our County that offer all sorts of water skiing and fishing opportunities. Come see the brilliant colors that decorate the canyons in the Fall.
