View More The Office of the Kentucky Sheriff was first formed in Article VI of the First Constitution of Kentucky in the year 1792. Sheriff Samuel Newell, a Revolutionary War veteran, was sworn into office in 1799 becoming Pulaski Countys first Sheriff. Today, the Pulaski Sheriffs Office, located at 100 North Main Street, Somerset, Ky., is led by Sheriff Bobby Jones, who began his first term of office in January, 2023.
