About
The Long Island Library Resources Council (LILRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1966 and chartered by the New York State Board of Regents. Serving Nassau and Suffolk counties, LILRC supports academic, special, public, and school libraries, as well as museums and historical societies. Its mission includes enhancing access to information, promoting resource sharing, and advocating for library interests. LILRC administers several New York State grants, including the Regional Bibliographic Databases and Interlibrary Loan Resources Sharing Program (RBDB), Hospital Library Service Program (HLSP), and Medical Information Services Program (MISP). The council is located at 627 N.
