3. In 1915, Edward L. Tinker became the first person to fly an airplane in Idaho. He took off from a field in Boise and flew for about 20 minutes before landing safely.

4. In 1978, the "Sun Valley Serenade" ice skating rink was dedicated in Sun Valley, Idaho. The rink was named after the famous movie filmed at the Sun Valley Resort in 1941.

5. In 2001, the Idaho State Capitol building was damaged by a 6.5 magnitude earthquake. The damage was estimated to be around $40 million, and it took several years to fully repair and restore the building.
