3. On February 4, 1974, a tornado hit the city of Cabaniss, causing extensive damage and injuring several residents. The storm was part of a severe weather outbreak that impacted much of the central United States.

4. In 1913, the state of Oklahoma ratified the 16th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which enabled the federal government to levy an income tax. This amendment remains a contentious issue to this day.
