4. On July 20th, 1957, boxer Marvin Camel was born in Augusta, Kansas. Camel would go on to become the first ever cruiserweight world champion, and was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2009.

5. In 1864, Confederate General Sterling Price led his troops into Missouri during the American Civil War on July 20th. The resulting Battle of Lexington, which took place over several days, resulted in a Confederate victory, but ultimately failed to change the outcome of the wider conflict.
