1. On July 6, 1887, the town of Billings was officially incorporated. Named after Frederick H. Billings, a former president of the Northern Pacific Railroad, the city grew rapidly in the early 20th century due to its location as a transportation hub for the region.

Over a dozen witnesses reported seeing strange lights in the sky, and one individual even claimed to have been abducted by aliens.
