2. Premiere of "The Cisco Kid": On June 12, 1950, the television show "The Cisco Kid" premiered on ABC. The show, which starred Duncan Renaldo and Leo Carrillo as the titular Cisco and his sidekick Pancho, was one of the first Westerns to feature Hispanic lead characters and was immensely popular during its six-year run.
