2. On March 25, 1911, the first aerial reconnaissance mission in Arizona was conducted. Lieutenant Charles Becker flew over the Grand Canyon and took photographs to aid in mapping the area.
3. On March 25, 1931, the London Bridge was sold to Robert McCulloch as a tourist attraction for his planned resort community in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The bridge was dismantled, shipped to the United States and reconstructed in Lake Havasu City, where it still stands today.
4. The first baseball game was played at the newly-constructed Maryvale Baseball Park in Phoenix on March 25, 1998. The park is now the spring training home of the Milwaukee Brewers.
5. On March 25, 1957, the Arizona Supreme Court upheld the right of Arizona State University to prohibit non-student groups from soliciting on campus. The ruling set a precedent for universities across the country to regulate speech on campus.
