3. In 1923, the first aerial crop-dusting experiments were conducted in Minnesota by a company called Dusting Service, Inc. This pioneering technique revolutionized agriculture by allowing farmers to quickly and efficiently apply pesticides and other chemicals to crops from the air.
4. On November 15, 1959, the Herb Brooks Arena in Minneapolis hosted its first ice hockey game. The arena would go on to become the site of the Miracle on Ice in the 1980 Winter Olympics, where the US men's hockey team defeated the heavily favored Soviet Union.
