1. On November 19, 1921, the Wilmington and Northern Railroad Company's electric service officially ended in Delaware. The line was first established in 1892 and serviced several cities throughout the state until its closure due to increased competition from automobiles and buses.

2. The Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association was founded on November 19, 1925. The organization oversees high school sports programs in Delaware and has expanded to include 44 member schools throughout the state.

3. On November 19, 1950, University of Delaware quarterback Bill Vergantino threw a school-record seven touchdown passes in a single game against Lafayette College. The Blue Hens won the game 63-13 and Vergantino was named the game's Most Valuable Player.

4. The DuPont Environmental Education Center opened in Wilmington, Delaware on November 19, 2009. The center offers exhibits and programs focused on the Delaware River estuary and is operated by the Delaware Nature Society.

5. On November 19, 2014, Delaware Governor Jack Markell signed a bill legalizing medical marijuana use in the state. The law allows qualifying patients to obtain marijuana for medicinal purposes but does not permit recreational use of the drug.
