1. On November 30, 1824, fur trader and explorer Jim Bridger was born in Richmond, Virginia. He later became a key figure in the expansion and exploration of the American West, including Utah.

2. The legendary outlaw Butch Cassidy was born Robert Leroy Parker in Beaver, Utah on November 30, 1866. He formed the Wild Bunch gang and became infamous for his daring bank and train robberies in the late 1800s.

3. On November 30, 1915, Salt Lake City experienced its greatest snowfall in a single day, with 24 inches of snow falling in just 24 hours. The city was paralyzed for several days, with transportation and communication disrupted and many businesses forced to close.

4. The Cluff Lake mine disaster occurred on November 30, 1984, when a tailings dam at the uranium mine in Saskatchewan, Canada failed, causing a massive spill of radioactive waste. Many Utah residents were directly affected, as the mine was operated by Utah-based uranium company, Denison Mines.

In 1993, November 30 was officially declared "Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day" in Utah, in honor of the soldiers and civilians who lost their lives in the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941.
