3. On November 30, 1915, Salt Lake City experienced its greatest snowfall in a single day, with 24 inches of snow falling in just 24 hours. The city was paralyzed for several days, with transportation and communication disrupted and many businesses forced to close.

4. The Cluff Lake mine disaster occurred on November 30, 1984, when a tailings dam at the uranium mine in Saskatchewan, Canada failed, causing a massive spill of radioactive waste. Many Utah residents were directly affected, as the mine was operated by Utah-based uranium company, Denison Mines.
