If you could have any other job what would it be and why?
In fact, if I could have any other job, what would it be? It would be the secretary of education so that I can make sure that the children all over the world are getting the best education that they could get.
How are kids different now than 30 years ago?
How are kids different now than they were 30 years ago? They are different now because there's more technology. They don't have a lot of face to face conversations with grownups. So a lot of everything is shorthanded. Texting you, calling everything is short that students are not having that face to face conversation anymore.
How is teaching different now than 30 years ago?

What would you tell someone who wants to become a teacher?
What would you tell someone right now that is thinking about becoming a teacher? I love teaching. You don't go mean to teach him for the money. You have to have the patience and a true love of students as a true love of kids to go into education right now. And if you don't have that true love and that passion find something else to do.
What is one thing you would change to help kids learn better?
And what is one thing you would change to help kids learn better? Making sure that all students, regardless of their zip code, had the same resources as everyone.
